With the help of interference phenomena we can find the wavelength of monochromatic light source like Laser, Sodium lamp etc. in a very easy manner. In this experiment students can understand the concept of interference, image formation and the width of fringes. Generally the interference pattern is demonstrated by Young's Double Slit experiment, but it couldn't explain the phenomenon of interference clearly to overcome this difficulty Fresnel Biprism was introduced.
